Feng Shui principles are applied to staging your home. The first impression a client will have of the interior of your home is just inside your front or back door. It is important to make an excellent first impression.

The door to your home represents your mouth, so this area must be free of clutter and have a welcoming feeling.  Use scented candles and potpourri to appeal to all your senses.

This room was seldom used for eating, it was more of a drop-off area for clutter. There was no focal point because there was clutter everywhere. The china cabinet was moved to make it the focal point, the extra chairs were edited out of the room, and the walls were painted a more neutral colour to make the room more relaxing. Now it looks like a welcoming room to enjoy a meal.
